23 hr Skills for Care Induction

INTRODUCTION:

This is an essential mandatory induction course for all care workers, who work in a care setting.

The 23 hour Skills for Care Induction training course meets the national standards required by Skills for Care. The 23 hour Skills for Care Induction training course covers all 8 standards through a blended learning approach. The course is delivered via classroom and home study learning. This course is intended for those who have completed previous Skills for Care Induction training and who have experience of working in the industry.

The 8 standards covered within this course include the following:

  •   Safer People Handling Update
  •   Infection Control and Food Safety/Nutrition & Hydration
  •   Basic First Aid & CPR
  •   Communication, Person Centred Care, Implementing Duty of Care
  •   Safeguarding Adults
  •   Personal Development
  •   Equality and Inclusion
  •   Health & Safety

NO. OF CANDIDATES: 14 maximum

DURATION: 23 hours (including 2 classroom days)

COURSE REQUIREMENTS:

Appropriate clothing/footwear must be worn for practical sessions (see below)

  • full covered flat shoe
  • Clothing should be easy to move about in

Anyone who attends and is not wearing suitable Footwear and clothing will not be allowed to participate in the training session

All students must provide their own writing material and paper

TERMS & CONDITIONS OF BOOKING:

We aim to provide a flexible approach to training for our customers, please read our booking terms & conditions detailed below.

  • Students that fail to attend a course will be invoiced at the full course rate
  • Cancellations giving 7 days notice from date of training, no charge
  • Cancellations giving less than 7 days notice, full course fees charged
  • Cancellations on the day or none attendance on the day a re-booking fee of £25 charged
  • Discounts are only applicable if invoice is paid in full within 30 days of invoicing
  • Students arriving 30 mins after course commencement will be classed as a non attendance and re-booking fee will apply
  • Invoices paid within 30 days
