Diploma Level 3 in Health and Social Care

INTRODUCTION:

The Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care(Adults) for England(QCF) is offered in the following ways: Generic Health and Social Care qualifications, the Dementia Pathway or the Learning Disabilities Pathway - each serves as the required qualification for registration and regulatory requirements in the social care sector in England for their specific sector.

This qualification is ideally suited to anyone working in one of the following roles;

  • senior care assistants/support workers/key workers in a residential setting
  • senior healthcare assistants/support workers in community and primary care environments
  • senior healthcare assistants/support workers in acute health environments
  • senior care assistants/support workers/key workers in domiciliary serives
  • senior support workers in supported living projects
  • community-based senior care assistants/support workers/key workers, including those working in specialist areas
  • personal assistants employed directly by the individual they support or their families

COURSE OUTLINE:

 To achieve this learners must complete a minimum of 58 credits, and these are made up from;

  • 28 credits from the mandatory units
  • A minimum of two credits and maximum of seven credits from the optional context/specialist knowledge units
  • At least 23 credits from the optional competence units

For Diploma Level 2&3 learners will discuss with their assessor at initial assessment the following:

  • The qualification pathway
  • The level of the qualification
  • The mandatory, optional and competence units

COURSE REQUIREMENTS:

Appropriate clothing/footwear must be worn for practical sessions (see below)

  • full covered flat shoe
  • Clothing should be easy to move about in

Anyone who attends and is not wearing suitable Footwear and clothing will not be allowed to participate in the training session

All students must provide their own writing material and paper

TERMS & CONDITIONS OF BOOKING:

We aim to provide a flexible approach to training for our customers, please read our booking terms & conditions detailed below.

  • Students that fail to attend a course will be invoiced at the full course rate
  • Cancellations giving 7 days notice from date of training, no charge
  • Cancellations giving less than 7 days notice, full course fees charged
  • Cancellations on the day or none attendance on the day a re-booking fee of £25 charged
  • Discounts are only applicable if invoice is paid in full within 30 days of invoicing
  • Students arriving 30 mins after course commencement will be classed as a non attendance and re-booking fee will apply
  • Invoices paid within 30 days
