Diploma Level 3 in Health and Social Care
INTRODUCTION:
The Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care(Adults) for England(QCF) is offered in the following ways: Generic Health and Social Care qualifications, the Dementia Pathway or the Learning Disabilities Pathway - each serves as the required qualification for registration and regulatory requirements in the social care sector in England for their specific sector.
This qualification is ideally suited to anyone working in one of the following roles;
- senior care assistants/support workers/key workers in a residential setting
- senior healthcare assistants/support workers in community and primary care environments
- senior healthcare assistants/support workers in acute health environments
- senior care assistants/support workers/key workers in domiciliary serives
- senior support workers in supported living projects
- community-based senior care assistants/support workers/key workers, including those working in specialist areas
- personal assistants employed directly by the individual they support or their families
COURSE OUTLINE:
To achieve this learners must complete a minimum of 58 credits, and these are made up from;
- 28 credits from the mandatory units
- A minimum of two credits and maximum of seven credits from the optional context/specialist knowledge units
- At least 23 credits from the optional competence units
