Medication for Managers

INTRODUCTION:

This course is aimed at staff members with a responsibility to mentor, train or supervises other employees; it will help the candidate to identify common risks with the administration of medication, the requirements of Commission for Social Care Inspection and systems for controlling outbreaks and cross contamination

COURSE OUTLINE:

  •  Highlight a procedure for administering medication
  •  Identify the expectations of CSCI
  •  Highlight the key differences in the responsibility for a range of care settings
  •  Explain common risk factors in relation to supporting and administering medication
  •  Identify common problems with prescription medication
  •  Highlight the side effects of common drugs
  •  Recognise the levels of training required for staff supporting others with medication

COURSE REQUIREMENTS:

Appropriate clothing/footwear must be worn for practical sessions (see below)

  • full covered flat shoe
  • Clothing should be easy to move about in

Anyone who attends and is not wearing suitable Footwear and clothing will not be allowed to participate in the training session

All students must provide their own writing material and paper

TERMS & CONDITIONS OF BOOKING:

We aim to provide a flexible approach to training for our customers, please read our booking terms & conditions detailed below.

  • Students that fail to attend a course will be invoiced at the full course rate
  • Cancellations giving 7 days notice from date of training, no charge
  • Cancellations giving less than 7 days notice, full course fees charged
  • Cancellations on the day or none attendance on the day a re-booking fee of £25 charged
  • Discounts are only applicable if invoice is paid in full within 30 days of invoicing
  • Students arriving 30 mins after course commencement will be classed as a non attendance and re-booking fee will apply
  • Invoices paid within 30 days
