Safer People Handling Train the Trainer Update

INTRODUCTION:

This Safer People Handling (Manual Handling) Train the Trainer Training course is an update course for those with responsibility for manual handling training or those who are risk assessing for manual handling. This one day course takes the candidate through a set format of theoretical and practical manual handling update issues, each candidate will leave with the appropriate knowledge and practical skills to replace their original certificate.

COURSE OUTLINE:

Safer People Handling (Manual Handling) Train the Trainer Training Update course

Module One:Update

  • Principles legislation
  • Key responsibilities (poor practice)

Module Two: Update

  •  Functional anatomy of the spine
  •  Risk assessment
  •  Client, staff, equipment

Module Three: Update

  •  Hoisting and transfer aids
  •  Safe practice
  •  Duty of care

Module Four: Update

  • Physical handling
  • Skin viability
  • Practical techniques day

COURSE REQUIREMENTS:

Appropriate clothing/footwear must be worn for practical sessions (see below)

  • full covered flat shoe
  • Clothing should be easy to move about in

Anyone who attends and is not wearing suitable Footwear and clothing will not be allowed to participate in the training session

All students must provide their own writing material and paper

TERMS & CONDITIONS OF BOOKING:

We aim to provide a flexible approach to training for our customers, please read our booking terms & conditions detailed below.

  • Students that fail to attend a course will be invoiced at the full course rate
  • Cancellations giving 7 days notice from date of training, no charge
  • Cancellations giving less than 7 days notice, full course fees charged
  • Cancellations on the day or none attendance on the day a re-booking fee of £25 charged
  • Discounts are only applicable if invoice is paid in full within 30 days of invoicing
  • Students arriving 30 mins after course commencement will be classed as a non attendance and re-booking fee will apply
  • Invoices paid within 30 days
